Three hand-painted walls

The murals

We asked the artist Guillaume Jehl to hand-paint an entire wall in each of the two apartments — and a third mural in the entrance hall, the one that greets you on the way in. We wanted each apartment to have a face of its own, rather than a mass-produced frame on the wall.

The idea: the vintage postcard, with those big letters filled with landscapes. STRASBOURG in blue and orange downstairs, ALSACE in ochre and gold in the duplex. Four days of work in August 2026, two walls almost four metres wide, and two rooms you won't mistake for anywhere else.

In the entrance hall, a little Alsatian girl in traditional dress lets go of a heart-shaped balloon: “All you Nied is love”. It's the first thing you see when the door opens.

Look for the #Niedislove painted into all three: it's our signature, and it's where we repost your photos.

Every stay has its reason

You're coming for…

27 Nov → 24 Dec 2026

The Christmas market

Sleep somewhere quiet and avoid city-centre prices and parking hassles. The trick: just 3 minutes away by car, leave your vehicle at the Espace Européen de l'Entreprise park & ride. The P+R ticket (€4.20 per day) covers parking plus the return trip by bus G and tram for everyone in the car (up to 7 people).

10 min

The European Parliament

Plenary weeks, the Council of Europe, meetings in the European quarter: ten minutes by car, and a parking space waiting for you in the evening.

10–15 min

A trade fair at the Wacken

Exhibition and convention centre: a whole apartment instead of a hotel room, a kitchen, and peace and quiet after the day.

Europa-Park 55 min

A family holiday

The duplex sleeps six, the house ten, travel cot and high chair on request — with Alsace, Europa-Park or the Black Forest less than an hour away.

Practical info

Getting here & around

A car is the easiest option — your free parking is waiting. But you can easily do without one to get into town. Three ways to reach the centre:

A

Direct bus to the centre

  1. House
  2. 2 min walk
  3. Bus 75 · “Nord” stop
  4. ≈ 15 min
  5. Les Halles, city centre

The stop is opposite no. 100 rue de Hoenheim. Bus 75 runs to Les Halles, right in the centre. Check the timetable in the CTS app before heading out.

B

Bus to the station

  1. House
  2. 2 min walk
  3. Bus 75 · “Nord” stop
  4. Espace Européen de l'Entreprise: change to line G
  5. ≈ 10 min
  6. Central station

Line G is a bus rapid transit line — dedicated lanes, frequent — not a tram. Its last stop is Espace Européen de l'Entreprise, where bus 75 also stops. Your ticket includes transfers within the hour. Coming from the station, just do it the other way round.

C

Car + line G

  1. House
  2. 3 min drive
  3. Espace Européen de l'Entreprise park & ride
  4. Line G ≈ 10 min
  5. Central station, then the centre on foot or by tram

The smart move during the Christmas market, when driving and parking in the centre get difficult. The park & ride sits at the end of line G, 3 minutes from the house. The ticket (€4.20 per day, 2026 CTS fare) covers parking plus the return bus and tram trip for everyone in the car, up to seven people.
